Hello Panther Families,

We have had a few tough months and our kids have shown incredible resilience.  We are so proud to serve the best students and parents.  Thank you for trusting Stewart to take care of your best work….you deserve the same from us.  We have had a TPS school patrol and a TPD cruiser in the vicinity of Stewart since last week’s incident.  Although we can’t have this forever, it is a tribute to how serious our city takes your student’s safety. 

Please remember our kids’ mental health is important to Stewart as well.  Our Stewart counselors are available to talk to your child.  Please reach out to Laruen Noble (last names A-L) @ lnoble1@tacoma.k12.wa.us or John Frazier  (last names M-Z) @ jfrazie@tacoma.k12.wa.us if you have concerns. 

Here is what is big for the next month:  

• Friday Feb 3: No school for Stewart, due to semester break.
• Feb 13 or 14: 8^th Graders attend Finance Park (if we have enough chaperones)
• Feb 16: Now scheduled as a regular school day due to the snow day in Dec. that unexpectedly closed schools.
• Feb 17 or 20: No school for students.

Stewart Champion. Stewart’s very own Ms. Renee was named TPS Whole Child Champion for our school district. Champions create a positive school culture that we can all feel, and they make an incredible impact in the lives of students. We are so lucky to have had Ms. Renee at our school for 24 years! If you have a moment, please reach out to her with a note of panther props and have your student hand deliver it.  

Chaperons Needed Feb 13 and (or) 14.  Our 8^th grade will attend a field trip to Finance Park.  Please let us know if you might be able to attend this great chance for outside learning.  Stewart Height’s parents are the reason this is such a successful school.  Thank you for your support. 

Stewart’s Club Beyond. Our after-school program registration for opens Jan. 23.  I’m attaching the link in this email.

Replacement Chargers. Stewart offers replacement for lost chargers.  Please ask your student to see Ms. Renee for a new chargers.  There is a $20 replacement fee.
